Born in Amsterdam, living all over the place and enjoying photography. I studied photographic design at Gerrit Rietveld Academy (Amsterdam) and Medway College of Design (Rochester UK). I have been working as a photographer and (lighting) designer in the (international) media branche for almost 35 years and have made (photo) trips to Asia, Europe, South America and Antarctica.
Most of the time it is just a matter of being there at the right time and able to press a button as most monkeys like me can do anyway.
Mijn naam is Roelof van der Schaaf. Ik heb fotografische vormgeving gestudeerd aan de Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam en aan The Medway College of Design in Rochester (UK). Ik ben als fotograaf en lichtontwerper werkzaam in de (inter)nationale mediabranche en heb reizen gemaakt naar onder andere Europa, Zuid-Amerika en Antarctica.
Mijn specialisaties zijn landschaps-, architectuur- en panoramafotografie en beeldbewerking. Mijn meest recente project is skerp.net
